The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service or the "Service" is owned by The New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad and operated by The New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad which publishes New Straits Times, New Sunday Times, Berita Harian, Berita Harian Ahad, Harian Metro and Metro Ahad.
The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service means the digital replica versions of New Straits Times, New Sunday Times, Berita Harian, Berita Harian Ahad, Harian Metro and Metro Ahad available from Apple Store, Android and Smartphones and such other relevant smartphone applications. The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service is also available at http://subscription.nstp.com.my
"We", "Our", "Us" means The New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad, its subsidiaries, publications, employees, service agents and service providers.
"You" means a customer of The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service (to the exclusion of business users) and/or visitor of The New Straits Times Press ePaper Website.
"Account" means your The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service account, including user name and password information.
User's Covenants
You are to use the The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service in compliance with the Agreement. The use of the The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service shall be in accordance to the law. You are to ensure that you will only use The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service in your jurisdiction only if it is allowed by law. You shall be responsible to keep your password and all user information private. You shall not misuse the The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service for immoral activities. You shall also not infringe any copyright and intellectual property rights belonging Us and third parties. You shall use The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service for your own personal use only. You understand that you will receive exactly the same content as the printed edition of your subscribed or purchased copy but may not include such other supplements as may be included into the printed edition from time to time. You also acknowledge that you are to bear the delivery charges to be paid directly to the vendor delivering the printed edition paper to the address provided by you. Each user is entitled to purchase one copy of each publication for each delivery address.
Our Rights
Without limiting our rights, we reserve the right to restrict, impose limitation, discontinue or change any aspect of The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service including but not limited to content and subscription plans. We may also change equipment and/or software requirement for access or use of The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service. We may amend, modify, change and/or alter this Agreement by posting a notice on The New Straits Times Press ePaper website. By continuing to use the service after the amendment, modification, change and/or alteration you are deemed to consent to such amendment, modification, change and/or alteration. Prices shown are subject to change. We will not be responsible for the conversion rate imposed for payment made in US Dollar (USD). You also agree and acknowledge that we have the right to monitor and oversee your activity related to The New Straits Times Press ePaper. You also acknowledge our right to remove any content uploaded by you in any way directly and/or indirectly at our sole discretion.
Delivery Period
You acknowledge and agree that the delivery of the paper will take effect within 10 working days from the date of receipt of actual payment subject to availability of delivery in your area. If payment is made by cheque, upon the clearance of payment.
Publication Date
The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service is available 361 days in Peninsula Malaysia, 357 days for Sabah and 356 days for Sarawak respectively.
Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time. We have the right to terminate this Agreement immediately in the event that you breach any provision of this Agreement. You would be liable and remain responsible for all charges incurred up to the time of the termination. We will not refund any unused subscription fee in the event you terminate this Agreement.
Privacy Policy
In order to process your application for The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service, we would need to collect Personal Information to determine your identity and for record and such other future purposes as we may determine, the use of which you hereby consent to. You need to provide information such as name, billing and permanent address, email address, phone, fax and other information. You would also need to provide your credit card number and all related information for billing purposes.
From time to time, we may request further information. As and when you use other services and/or participate in contest(s), you may need to provide further details.
All request(s) and communication(s) will be kept and recorded. Information such as IP address, computer's name, web browser information, tracking and statistical information and other general log information may be taken automatically.
We may not be able to provide service(s) that we otherwise would if certain information is not provided.
Cookies may be used to identify any subscriber as a visitor and/or customer to our website for various purposes to upgrade and improve our services. We may also allow our partners and/or third parties permitted to upload content to set their own cookies wherein it will be subjected to their own privacy policies of such parties.
Personal Information may be disclosed under the following circumstances:-
In the event third parties perform functions on our behalf;
In the event such information or any additional information is requested by publishers of third party products available in The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service;
To protect our Intellectual Property and other rights;
If we believe you are interfering, violating and/or misusing the The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service;
If we believe that you are abusing other users of the The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service
Where we are required by law to provide such information;
If there are changes to the ownership of the Company and/or sale of business or part thereof.
We will not disclose your Personally Identifiable Information to unaffiliated third parties without your express consent except in the under noted circumstances:
(i) When we employ other companies to perform functions on our behalf, such as fulfilling orders, providing customer service, sending mail, processing credit card payments, processing currency conversions, or other functions necessary to our business.
(ii) If publishers of the products available through The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service request additional Personally Identifying Information from us. The information practices of those publishers are covered by their own privacy policies.
(iii) If we believe that the user is harming or interfering with other users of The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service, anyone else, or violating our Subscription Agreement or The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service Terms of Use Agreement, or infringing any of our legal rights.
(iv) If we are required by law to provide any of your Personally Identifiable Information we will, if permitted by law, attempt to notify you via the e-mail address you supplied during registration within a reasonable amount of time before we respond to the request.
(v) In the event of a sale of all or most of the assets of the company, this information may be transferred to the purchaser.
We may collect Anonymous Information which means any information other than Personally Identifiable Information including information derived from Personal Information.
You may change your Registration and/or Subscription by following instructions on our website. You may delete your Registration or Subscription information by emailing subscribe@nstp.com.my All information will be deleted provided all payments are made. We may retain the information in the event such information is needed for legal action and if we have legal obligation to retain such information.
Upon deletion of Personal Information, any unfulfilled subscription will be cancelled and the balance sums forfeited. Should you require further service of The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service you will have to re-register and provide all details requested
We will use reasonable security measures to maintain our database and the accuracy of data and prevent unauthorised access. We wish to caution that no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be secured. Any transmission of data shall be done at your own risk.

Copyright and other intellectual property rights (whether vested, contingent or future) subsisting in the publications and all materials and developed in connection with the printing of the publications (whether or not being incorporated into the publications) (collectively, the 'Rights') shall belong to NSTP exclusively. You are not allowed to reproduce, print, copy in any method, sell, display in public, rent or make any commercial benefit any material produced in connection with The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service and/or any of our partners.
Third Party Information
We are not responsible for any damage and/or loss caused by links to third party websites and services available on The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service website. You acknowledge that we have no control and you are solely responsible for using such links and services. You also acknowledge that we provide no guarantee for the accuracy, availability, efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction of any content and/or service available to third party websites via direct and indirect links from The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service website. Any content, imputations, opinions and/or information made by third party directly available on The New Straits Times Press ePaper Service website and/or links belong to the respective author(s) and/or publisher(s).
Indemnity

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between us and supersedes all previous written or oral agreements between us with respect to this subject matter. This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the Laws of Malaysia and parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian Court. No waiver by either party of any breach or default hereunder shall be deemed to be a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default.
